First soft ferrite materials were developed by Drs. Yogoro Kato and Takeshi Takei of the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1930th. TDK Corporation(originally known as Tokyo Denki Kagaku Kogyo K.K.) was founded in 1935 by Kenzo Saito for marketing and using of soft ferrite materials developed by Kato and Takei in industry. It is TDK which was the first company started working in this field.
As a first TDK innovative product at the market one can note "oxide rings" on the base of soft ferrites applied when manufactuirng transformers and power inductors. From the very beginnig of TDK history the priority for the company has been directed on new innovative researchand development in the field of consumer characteristics of ferrites improvement and search of new fields for their application in practice. At present moment the company is one of the largest ferrites and components producers in the world. TDK has more than 130 offices and plants allover the world.
Continious improvement of technological processes at materials preparation, usage of modern press moulds, control of general parameters at all stages of production allow to get items of high quality corresponding all modern standards. In the world market a wide range of TDK ferrite cores of different forms and sizes with improved characteristics is represented.
LEPCOS is an official distributor and general representative ofTDK Electronics Europe Gmbh for ferrites in Russia.
